Sciolytix B2B Sales Hiring Index for November Drops over 26 Points to 87.5

New York, NY., November 1, 2023 – The Sciolytix B2B Sales Hiring Index (SSHI-B2B) decreased from 114.3 in October to 87.5 in November 2023. The SSHI-B2B measures relative demand for full-time B2B sales talent in the US over the last 30 days through new sales job postings on LinkedIn and Glassdoor.

The decrease of 26.8 points from October to November suggests demand for B2B salespeople cooled over the past 30 days. The index was up 7.3 points from November 2022 to November 2023. The significant drop in November 2022 and November 2023 suggests seasonal influence as companies focus on closing their year rather than aggressively hiring.

The hiring landscape in B2B sales has shown remarkable resilience and positive growth. There are over 100,000 full-time B2B sales positions in the US, as reported by LinkedIn and Glassdoor. Despite the initial wave of massive layoffs by major corporations earlier this year, one would expect a significant rise in the unemployment rate. However, this has yet to be the case for B2B sales, which has maintained a steady employment rate.
